33 Monmouth Street
Local artists Ericka Bruno and Val Dyshlov will be displaying some of their most
recent work at 33 Monmouth Street, Red Bank, New Jersey, from August 9th through August 25th. Signature Works features two unique artists with diverse defining styles, applications and bkckgrounds.
A native Texan, Ericka earned her BFA in Art from UT, Austin, and worked as a graphic designer for 15 years in both Texas and San Francisco before returning to painting. Her modern abstract style is influenced by her work in graphic design
displaying geometric shapes through exploration of the line. How those shapes are formed, balanced and contrasted with color is what creates the unique dynamic which is her work. Ericka paints in her downtown Red Bank studio, and this is the first local showing of her work.
Val Dyshlov resides in Marlboro, NJ. Val is trained in the European drawing technique and creates highly stylized etchings in which he brings a distinct solidity of form and a sculptor mentality to his work. He will be featuring drawings and etchings from his series “Alcons”, (unseen creatures which rule the world), as well as etchings of landscapes and still lifes. Etchings from his series, “Elegy”, dedicated to women and inspired by French poetry, will also be included. Val is a native of Russia and earned his Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the Kharkov State Academy of Arts and is currently teaching Art in the United States.
