Middletown Arts Center is so excited to reopen our gallery doors with the work of renowned Rock n’ Roll photographer and longtime local resident Mark “WEISSGUY” Weiss! EXHIBIT DATES: May 21 – August 15 The show will be on view from May 21 through August 15 and celebrates Weiss’s birthday with an entertaining weekend of events from Thursday, June 24th to Saturday, June 26th. Gallery hours are currently by appointment only. ABOUT THE EXHIBITION The Decade that Rocked: A Tribute to the 80’s encapsulates the heyday of these rock and metal icons with images of a young Jon Bon Jovi at the Freehold Raceway in 1980; Ozzy Osbourne on the roof of Asbury Park’s Convention Hall in 1981; Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider taking on Washington D.C. in 1985 for the Parents of Music Resource Center hearings; Guns N’ Roses outside CBGB in Manhattan in 1987 and much more.
